Cloud Migration Checklist

Use this checklist to prepare a migration and confirm that the workload is ready for cutover:

• Inventory: Identify applications, owners, dependencies, data volumes, and current performance baselines.
• Target environment: Confirm identity, networking, access controls, monitoring, and regional capacity.
• Data: Choose a transfer method, verify backups, and test restoration and data integrity.
• Validation: Test functionality, performance, security, and estimated operating costs in the target environment.
• Cutover: Agree on downtime, success criteria, responsible owners, and a tested rollback plan.
• Operations: Verify alerts and support procedures after migration; retire the old environment only after acceptance.
